Annie Lee, RD, LD (she/her)

Annie earned her B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics and completed her dietetic internship through the Coordinated Program at the University of Texas at Austin. Before joining TLB, she gained extensive experience working with eating disorders and disordered eating at both the partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient levels. This experience taught her to value her clients' lived experiences and advocate for their needs.

Annie's passion for this field was shaped by her own experiences growing up as a Korean American and a child of immigrants. She saw how cultural pressure to be thin and silence around mental health created shame and unrealistic body expectations in her community. Her education, along with her lived experience, helped her break free from harmful diet culture, inspiring her to create a safe space for her clients to do the same.

Annie enjoys working with all types of eating disorders and disordered eating behaviors, and she takes a trauma-informed approach in her practice. She believes that addressing the root causes of disordered eating helps clients build a healthier, more connected relationship with food, their bodies, and movement. Annie is also passionate about body image work, as she believes that healing this relationship can significantly improve her clients' quality of life.

As a non-diet, weight-inclusive provider, Annie is particularly interested in the connections between cultural identity, food, and body image. She strives to make nutrition care accessible and realistic by centering her clients' own experiences and identities in her approach.

When she's not working, Annie enjoys relaxing at home with a cup of pour-over coffee, rewatching Gilmore Girls, exploring Austin’s thrift stores, and walking around Ladybird Lake. She’s also a proud Enneagram 4 and loves diving into all kinds of personality tests.

Annie is a registered and licensed dietitian in the state of Texas.  She is engaging in both in person at our Central Office and telehealth sessions.
