Eating Disorders and Disordered Eating Recovery Support

All of the dietitians in the practice work under the umbrella of eating disorder support care, whether you are struggling from an eating disorder or disordered eating.  Our approach comes from a non-diet, weight inclusive framework to help heal your relationship with food, body and movement from disorder patterns.  The dietitians’ experiences range from working in a higher level of care (eating disorder treatment) to outpatient treatment and working with a variety of ages.

  • Body Image Support: At TLB Nutrition Therapy, we believe that healing one’s relationship with the body is essential in your physical and mental health.  There are many nuances within healing this relationship and TLB Nutrition Therapy can help guide you in finding that respectful and healing relationship you deserve.

  • Co-occurring conditions (Sobriety from Drugs/Alcohol): So often a negative food relationship or an eating disorder can be paired when practicing sobriety.  The dietitians at TLB Nutrition Therapy provide nutrition, body image and movement recovery support in conjunction to your sobriety support.  We also believe team collaboration is essential to recovery so, with your permission, the dietitians will be coordinating with your current support team.

Pre/Postpartum Nutrition Support

The dietitians can help you navigate the overwhelming amount of information that can be provided when pregnant through the weight inclusive framework.  This can include: self advocacy during OBGYN appointments regarding food and body autonomy, child and family feeding and meal guidance, and building intuitive and conscious eating skills during pregnancy.

Exercise & Sports Nutrition

Fueling your body is essential to your athletic performance and body attunment.  The dietitians that specialize in sports nutrition can help provide the nutrition support you need to fuel your sport while also providing the tools to connect to your body’s signals.  The balance between athletic performance and a non-diet approach to food can be complex and we are here to help you navigate that journey.  If athletics are not what you are reaching out for, we also support clients in finding ways to engage in joyful movement as we believe that moving your body, in your own unique way, is important to your physical and mental health.

Children’s Nutrition and Family Feeding Support

Whether your kiddo is a “picky eater” or you are questioning whether your child is struggling with an eating disorder, we are here to help.  We can help you navigate meal times with your children, support you in menu planning throughout your busy week, and stop the ‘short order cooking.’  We have dietitians in the practice that specialize in working with kids and families.

Hormone, Reproductive and Autoimmune Disorders

(including PCOS, Thyroid, Diabetes, etc.): This support can include, but not limited to, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) support, Thyroid conditions including Hashimoto's and Graves Disease, Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, Gut Health and more.  We understand the difficulty of mapping out the information that can be given when newly diagnosed with the above conditions.  We have dietitians in the practice that have first hand lived-experience, have done extensive training and research, and are here to support you through these conditions using the non-diet, weight inclusive lens.
