Tina Laboy, RD, LD, CEDS-C, cPT
(she/her)

Tina is the founder and owner of TLB Nutrition Therapy.  Tina's expertise lies in medical nutrition therapy for various health conditions. She has experience working with a broad range of clients, and has a specialization with those struggling with eating disorders, disordered eating, negative body image and exercise struggle. Working in the eating disorder field since 2008, her vast experience includes various outpatient practices, as well as working in the higher level of care treatment setting.  Her true passion is supporting individuals how to have true peace and respect with their food, body and movement.

Tina focuses on bettering her client's physical and emotional health by employing a non-diet approach to food, using intuitive and conscious eating principles and focusing these skills through a weight inclusive lens. She excels at creating personalized plans of action as well as assisting clients to incorporate nutrition and activity into their lifestyles, all done in a balanced and enjoyable way. Tina's spunky personality adds fun and excitement when talking about nutrition, especially when debunking some of those challenging diet myths. Tina always finds ways to incorporate her own enjoyment of food, cooking, and exploring new meals into her client's sessions. She believes that exposure is a great tool in learning how to challenge food fears and the diet mentality. This may include grocery store or restaurant outings, or clients bringing their own meal or snack to eat with Tina during session.

In her free time, Tina has trained and mentored with triathlon and running teams, having completed numerous endurance and adventure races herself. She finds the balance between endurance activity and nutrition fascinating and believes that genuine harmony can only be accomplished when you are nourishing and in communication with your body's true signals. That being said, Tina also believes that activity can be a natural part of your life and engaging in those fun activities shouldn't have to feel like a "chore" or an "obligation." As a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), Tina holds the expertise to help you navigate through your movement relationship; one that works for your philosophy, schedule and mental health. Whether struggling with a poor exercise relationship or finding that balance between exercise and nutrition, Tina can help.

Tina is a member of Weight Inclusive Nutrition and Dietetics (WIND), Diversify Dietetics, International Federation of Eating Disorder Dietitians (IFEDD), Central Texas Eating Disorder Specialists (CTEDS) and Association for Size Diversity and Health (ASDAH).
