Tina Laboy, RD, LD, CEDS-C, cPT
(she/her)

As the founder and owner of TLB Nutrition Therapy, Tina Laboy is dedicated to ensuring that every aspect of the practice upholds the highest standards of client care. While she is no longer seeing clients directly, she plays an active role in mentoring and supervising her team, providing ongoing education, and ensuring that all client care aligns with a food and weight neutral approach.

Tina is deeply committed to integrating social justice into the foundation of client care at TLB. She ensures that her team provides care through this lens, acknowledging the impact of systemic factors on health and well-being. By incorporating the social determinants of health into their work, the TLB team is equipped to offer more inclusive and equitable support, meeting clients where they are and addressing barriers to care with compassion and understanding.

Beyond clinical supervision, Tina is also hands-on in the behind-the-scenes operations of the practice, particularly in the areas of insurance and billing. She strongly believes in making nutrition care accessible and works tirelessly to navigate insurance coverage and establish equitable rates, ensuring that clients have the opportunity to receive the support they need without unnecessary financial barriers.

Tina’s expertise lies in medical nutrition therapy, with a specialization in eating disorders, disordered eating, body image concerns, and the intersection of food and movement. Since 2008, she has worked across various levels of care, gaining extensive experience in outpatient settings and higher-level treatment facilities. With a deep understanding of the physiological and psychological complexities of disordered eating, she is passionate about guiding her team to provide client-centered, compassionate care.

With a strong foundation in nutrition counseling, Tina ensures that her team integrates intuitive eating principles and a weight-inclusive framework into their work. She is committed to equipping her staff with the tools and knowledge necessary to challenge diet culture, support diverse client needs, and create a safe, empowering space for healing.

In addition to her background in dietetics, Tina is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). While she does not provide personal training, her expertise allows her to guide her team in helping clients develop a balanced relationship with movement—one that is rooted in enjoyment rather than obligation.

Tina is an active member of multiple professional organizations, including Diversify Dietetics, the International Federation of Eating Disorder Dietitians (IFEDD), and Central Texas Eating Disorder Specialists (CTEDS). She is also a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist Consultant (CEDS-C), supporting other providers in their professional growth.

While Tina may not be working with clients one-on-one, her leadership, advocacy, and behind-the-scenes dedication ensure that every individual who comes to TLB Nutrition Therapy receives exceptional care. Whether through staff education, business operations, or increasing accessibility to nutrition services, Tina remains committed to the core mission of TLB—providing high-quality, inclusive, and compassionate nutrition therapy for all.
